A kancil or Java Mouse-deer.

Kancil or Pelanduk or Java mouse-deer (Tragulus javanicus) is a small even-toed hoofed deer-like animal in the chevrotains family. This animal is one of the smallest animals in the world. A mature kancil is about the size of a rabbit and can be found in forests in Java and Bali.

This animal is a favorite character in many Indonesian fables.
