Candi singosari

Singosari Temple is a candi or temple from Singhasari era. It was built to honor Kertanegara, the last king of Singhasari.

Singhasari or Singosari is a kingdom in East Java, Indonesia, which existed in 1222 to 1292. The kingdom was founded by Ken Arok and succeeded the Kingdom of Kediri as the dominant kingdom in East Java. The story of the founding of the Kingdom of Singhasari and the story of Ken Arok's life are intricately intertwined, and it is a famous story in East and Central Java, featured in The Legend of the Keris of Mpu Gandring.
